Montemignaio One of the smallest comuni in the province of Arezzo, it still conserves its old centre called Castel Leone, and some evidence of the surrounding wall and two towers. The town is completely surrounded by chestnut woods which have always been the major economic resource of its inhabitants. The capitals of the Romanesque Pieve di Santa Maria Assunta recall, in the stylized phytomorphic decoration, signs of its local history linked to the traditions and forest work, typical of the inhabitants of these areas.
